Lodore Falls Hotel is another great wedding venue with great service and fantastic settings over looking Derwent Waters in the Borrowdale Valley.

I am usually fortunate enough to photograph a handful of weddings at the Lodore Falls Hotel each year. The hotel is set in the Borrowdale Valley which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District. The hotel is very well run and always has a relaxed atmosphere; the food is also very good. Only a short distance from Keswick and set over looking Derwent Waters.
From a photography point of view there are many options to get some amazing pictures, either a short walk down to the lake side and the jetty or a short drive to Ashness Bridge and surprise view which on a clear day has an amazing view all the way to Scotland. If you have a little more time for the pictures then there is always Watendlath and the picturesque tarn and bridge that are there.
The hotel’s own description says that the hotel was built in traditional Lakeland slate has had a commanding presence in the Borrowdale Valley for over 200 years. Standing in 40 acres of grounds with lake frontage and the dramatic backdrop of the spectacular Lodore Falls and surrounding mountains, this hotel has one of the finest settings in the Lake District, with access to some of the most impressive walks in the area from the front door.
