Steven and Victoria’s wedding at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, Lake District wedding photography

I first met Steven and Victoria at the Castle Green Hotel wedding fair in February and was very pleased when then asked me to photograph their wedding. They are a really friendly couple and I was looking forward to their big day. Not for the first time this year the weather was atrocious on the morning of the wedding and it was clear right from the beginning that we would be very lucky to get any outdoor shots.  Castle Green Hotel is a great wedding venue; however, the indoor choices for photographs are limited and for the group shots the only option was to use a small corner in the reception room. I’m just glad I put a couple of portable soft boxes in the car to help with the lighting.

Just when I had just about given up all hope of any outdoor shots, the weather cleared a little after their meal and we were able to get outside for 10 minutes worth of pictures, to the huge relief of Steven, Victoria and of course myself.
