On the 22nd January I travelled to Ambleside for the wedding of Chris and Gemma at St Mary's Church, Rydal and the Reception at Rydal Hall.

On the 22nd January I travelled to Ambleside for the wedding of Chris and Gemma. The service was held at St Mary's Church at Rydal, it's a lovely little church and always very accommodating for photographers. Its great to get up into the balcony for a couple of wide shots looking down on the service but you have to pick your right moment to be able to leave the front of the church to get there. After the service was a very short walk to Rydal Hall, the Hall was previously the home of the Le Fleming family before being sold to the Diocese of Carlisle in the 1960's. My first visit here was to photograph the wedding of Sir David Le Flemming and it's now one of my favourite wedding venues in the Lake District, always well run, very welcoming and beautiful settings.
