Gary and Shalana’s wedding at All Saints Church, Cockermouth and Hundith Hill Hotel, Cumbria.

On the 20^th August 2011 I photographed the wedding of Gary and Shalana. The service was held at the All Saints Church on Kirkgate in Cockermouth, even though the church is only a stone’s throw from where I live this was actually the first wedding I have photographed there.  The cars for the day were supplied by 1^st Class Limousines who are based in Penrith and also ‘A Touch of Class’ from Workington, who, as always supplied an excellent service.

After the church service the wedding party travelling a couple of miles out of Cockermouth to Hundith Hill Hotel. The sun had certainly come out to welcome the guests to the hotel but this made for a challenging time as always with wedding photographs at Hundith Hill. I decided to use the front of the hotel for the shade which would provide far more suitable light for the group photographs. With Gary and Shalana agreement I had planned to get the pictures of the happy couples later on in the day once the light had become more suitable.

The whole day was a great celebration and it was clear that everybody enjoyed themselves; it was just a shame that the bouncy castle didn’t get much use due to the rain later on in the evening. The day was filmed by Mike Wilde from Motiv8 who also supplied the disco for the evening’s entertainment.
