James and Kate’s wedding at Our Lady of the Wayside, Grasmere and Rydal Hall, Rydal, Lake District

After catching up with James and Kate a few days before their wedding I was really looking forward to the big day. James and Kate were both very relaxed in the lead up to the wedding and it was clear that a great time would be had by all. The service was held at Our Lady of the Wayside just on the outskirts of Grasmere village, it’s a fantastic little church and the parish priest, Reverend Fr. David Duane is such a character!

One of James and Kate’s friends had driven up from London in his 1973 Rolls Royce to supply some luxury transport for the couple, so after the service, everybody headed to Rydal Hall for the reception. Rydal Hall is quite possible one of my favourite wedding venues for photography, with great gardens, a stunning house and a different view everywhere you look. The only limiting factor is time and imagination!
