I just wanted to share these 3 pictures from the wedding I photographed on Saturday afternoon at the Cragwood Country House Hotel near Windermere. The hotel is a great venue and well run, it has a very relaxed atmosphere and has a wonderful location in the heart of the Lake District.
My favourite image has to be the young ring bearer, they had been practicing with him up until 10 minutes before the ceremony and although he was very keen, it was still uncertain if he would be able to perform when the time came. His proud mother was at the back of the room with him during the service and held on to the ring box until they were called for at the front. Once she gave him the box his face just lit up and he strolled to the front to deliver the rings with a huge grin on his face. What a little star he was.
The second picture was taken in the room with the groom, best man and the 2 fathers sipping scotch and waiting to be called down for the service. I just love the back lit silhouette as they were looking down on to the lawns with the views over Windermere.
The third picture was clearly a much scripted one, I had previously tried this at a wedding last year with reasonable success. The bride had seen that picture and asked if we could try if after their ceremony. It was surprisingly quick to set up because of the elevated view from in front of the hotel, and then it was a quick jog up to the groom’s bedroom which over looked the lawns.
