Very few people arrive feeling completely natural in front of a camera. You may be camera shy, anxious, quiet, wonderfully chaotic or simply uninterested in spending the day posing. The photography should adapt to you.

Where should we begin?

Do we need to know which package we want before enquiring?
No. Send your date, venue, ceremony time and whatever plans you currently have. I will suggest a sensible amount of coverage without pushing you towards more than the day needs.
We are uncomfortable in front of a camera. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of the wedding is photographed naturally as it happens. For portraits I use straightforward guidance and movement rather than expecting you to perform a collection of poses. The camera-shy photography guide explains the approach in more detail.
Can the Lake District landscape be included without losing hours from the wedding?
Yes. Sometimes the useful view is already at the venue; sometimes a short, carefully planned trip adds something worthwhile. Distance, access, weather and how long you want to be away matter more than collecting famous locations. See the Lake District photo-location guide.
Are albums, a highlights film and an engagement shoot compulsory?
No. They are optional additions. Begin with the photography coverage, then add something only when it genuinely strengthens what you will receive or makes the experience easier.
