Is a wedding highlight film right for you?
It is ideal if you want movement, atmosphere and emotion from the day, but do not need a full documentary film. Think of it as the feeling of the day in motion — not a record of every second.
It is made from carefully captured clips throughout the day and designed to complement your photographs, not replace them. A little film with a big heartbeat. No staged scenes, no awkward re-enactments, no pretending to laugh at trees.
Photography first. A moving memory alongside it.
Photography remains the main focus of the day. But with professional hybrid cameras, a DJI gimbal and optional drone footage where suitable, I can create a short, beautifully edited film alongside it.
The approach is exactly the same as my photography: calm, relaxed and unobtrusive. I am looking for the real bits — movement, laughter, nerves, weather, hugs, chaos and all the lovely stuff that is hard to sum up in one still image.

Most of the day is covered in a documentary style: natural reactions, laughter, happy tears and moments you do not even realise are happening. Capturing a few short film clips between photographs fits naturally into that.
I am not going to stop the day, ask you to repeat things or make everything feel stiff. The film should feel like your wedding, not a behind-the-scenes advert for it.
If you are worried you will feel awkward, do not be. I am basically a calm, camera-shaped ninja with good manners.
A sense of place, when nature cooperates.
I am a registered CAA drone pilot. Where it is safe, permitted and genuinely useful, a few aerial establishing clips can show the lake, fells and venue in a way that lets the film breathe.
It is never forced. If the weather is wrong, the location unsuitable or time tight, the day does not revolve around a drone. You and the story come first.
Videographer, highlight film or content creator?
They all capture movement, but they are designed to do different jobs. None is automatically better — it depends on how you want to remember and watch the day afterwards.

The strongest option when film is a major priority and you want the day told as its own complete story.

How long is the wedding highlight film?
Most are around five to six minutes, designed to be short, emotional and easy to watch again.
Is this the same as booking a wedding videographer?
No. It is a short, music-led add-on to photography. A dedicated videographer is best for longer coverage, recorded sound, a full ceremony or speeches.
Will you record our full ceremony and speeches?
No. The highlight film is created from short clips across the day and does not include full ceremony or speech coverage with live audio.
Will filming affect our photographs?
No. Photography remains the priority. Clips are captured naturally between still photographs without disrupting the flow of the day.
Can drone footage be included?
Sometimes. It depends on venue rules, weather, safe flying conditions, permissions and timing — and is included only when it genuinely works for the day.
