Simple wedding photography pricing

Lake District Wedding Photography Prices

A calm, simple way to work out your wedding photography coverage. Start with the amount of time you need, then only add extras if they genuinely feel useful for your day.

Digital wedding photography coverage starts from £625 for small midweek elopements, with full-day coverage at £1800. Most couples choose full-day coverage, but shorter options can work beautifully for smaller weddings, elopements and simpler plans.

If you are not sure what you need, that is completely normal. Tell me your venue, ceremony time and rough plans, and I’ll suggest a sensible amount of coverage without pushing you into more than you need.

Your instant estimate

Choose your digital coverage first, then add anything optional only if it feels useful. This is a guide price rather than a booking confirmation.

Full day coverage usually starts around 2.5 hours before your ceremony and continues through to shortly after your second dance.

Albums can be decided after the wedding once you have seen your gallery, so there is no pressure to choose one now.

Enabled only when an album is selected.

These are here if they help. They are not things you have to add.

Which wedding photography package is right for us?

The best amount of coverage depends less on the size of the wedding and more on the shape of the day. These are simple starting points.

Small elopements

Elopement coverage

Best for very small midweek weddings where the focus is ceremony, a little time together afterwards and relaxed portraits nearby.

Usually 1.5 to 2 hours. Available Monday to Thursday.

£625

Simple coverage

Approx 3 hours

Good for ceremony, family photographs and portraits. Light preparation coverage may be possible depending on timings and location.

Mon to Thu £1150. Fri, weekend or bank holiday £1300.

Part-day weddings

Approx 6 hours

A good fit if you want preparations, ceremony, family photographs, portraits and some reception coverage, often through to speeches.

£1550

Full day coverage

The most complete option. It gives the day room to breathe, from preparations through to the evening without everything feeling squeezed.

Usually around 2.5 hours before the ceremony through to shortly after your second dance.

£1800

Not sure how much time you need?

That is one of the most common questions I get. A wedding day is fairly organic, so I would rather help you choose coverage around the natural flow of the day than force everything into a rigid timetable.

What is included in the digital coverage?

The main difference between the packages is time. The way I work, edit and deliver the images is consistent across all digital packages.

Careful wedding coverage

Calm, experienced photography throughout the parts of the day you have booked. Most of the day is photographed naturally, with gentle guidance when it is useful.

Edited high-resolution images

Your finished images are individually edited and delivered as high-resolution digital files. They are not watermarked.

Private online gallery

Your gallery is private and easy to share with family and friends. You can download, enjoy and print your images for personal use.

I do not think wedding photography should feel like buying a product off a shelf. A huge part of it is trust, personality, calm experience and having someone with you who knows how to read a day properly.

Chris

A relaxed, natural approach

Around 80 to 90 percent of how I photograph a wedding is documentary and natural. I will guide you through portraits and family photographs, but I try to keep that side of things relaxed, efficient and very human.

Optional extras

These are available if they add something useful. You do not need to decide everything straight away.

Popular add-on

Wedding highlights film

A short, music-led cinematic recap, usually around 5 to 7 minutes long. It is not a full documentary film, but it is a lovely way to revisit the feeling of the day.

£450

Subject to availability.

Second photographer

Useful for larger weddings, different locations, guest reactions, ceremony angles and fuller coverage of the day.

Wedding photography pricing questions

A few simple answers to the questions couples often ask before booking.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in the Lake District?
My digital wedding photography packages start from £625 for small midweek elopements. Full-day wedding photography coverage is £1800. Albums, highlights films, second photographer cover and other extras are optional.
What is included in your digital packages?
Digital packages include professional wedding photography coverage, careful editing, a private online gallery and high-resolution downloads. Finished images are not watermarked.
Do we need full-day wedding photography?
Not always. Full-day coverage is the most complete and relaxed option, especially if you want preparations, ceremony, portraits, speeches and dancing covered. Shorter coverage can work really well for smaller weddings, elopements and simpler plans.
Can we decide on an album after the wedding?
Yes. You do not need to decide on an album when you book. Many couples prefer to wait until they have seen their gallery, then choose whether an album feels right.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The main coverage options and optional extras are listed clearly on this page. If there is anything unusual about travel, timings or plans, I will explain that before booking.
Do you travel outside the Lake District?
Yes. I photograph weddings across Cumbria, the Lake District, Northumberland, Yorkshire and the wider North West. Travel can be discussed when you enquire.
How do we secure our wedding date?
The first step is to send an enquiry with your wedding date and venue. If I am available and you would like to go ahead, a booking fee and signed agreement secure the date.
